John Pezold's thoughts

This legislation is titled the "Georgia Entertainment Industry Investment Act”
To be a qualified production company for tax credits, current employee payroll must be $500,000 and this bill reduces to $250,000 annually if there is a base investment of $500,00 over 2 years
--Pre-released interactive games are now included in the list of qualified “productions”
--Then creates the “Georgia Entertainment Industry Postproduction Investment Act”
20% tax credit for companies with $250,000 in payroll in GA and $500,000 in expenditures
30% if all of the above and everything was created exclusively in GA
40% if all of the above and in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 county
Capped at $1 million per company, $5 million statewide
Cap increases to $10 million in 2018, $15 million 2019-2022
