John Pezold's thoughts
HB 206 amends the Pharmacy Audit Bill of Rights.
The bill does the following:
--repeals an exception for errors in audit conducted by Dept. of Community Health
--stipulates that unintentional errors in billing, coding, or documentation by providers do not mean “fraud”
--provides that no criminal charges will be filed without being able to show intent
--allows a 30 day grace period to correct an error after it is discovered
--gives the provider a right to a hearing
